Mission Statement
The mission of Chester Bancorp and its banks is to maximize its sustainable earnings while being a responsible and sound business that renders high-quality service that satisfies customers' financial needs through the efforts of fairly treated employees.
Chester National Bank is located approximately 60 miles south of St. Louis, Missouri on the Mississippi River with its Main Office located in Chester, Illinois, "The Home of Popeye". Originally organized in 1919, Chester National Bank conducts business from the main office in Chester, IL with two full-service offices in Sparta, IL, and Perryville, MO.
Chester Bancorp was formed in March 1996. On October 4, 1996, it acquired all of the outstanding common stock of Chester Savings Bank, F.S.B. upon the conversion of Chester Savings Bank from a mutual savings bank to two national banks, Chester National Bank and Chester National Bank of Missouri. Chester National Bank acquired Chester National Bank of Missouri on January 27, 2011.
